A searchable inventory of over 11,000 questions asked in previous major surveys on each of the NextGenerationEU themes is now available.
NextGenerationEU aims for Europe ‘to build a greener, more digital and more resilient future’ with a focus on five key areas: Make it… Green, Digital, Healthy, Strong, and Equal.
The inventory allows you to search for relevant survey items fielded on Eurobarometer, European Quality of Life Survey, European Social Survey, European Values Study (EVS), Generations and Gender Programme (GGP), and International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) questionnaires.
Researchers can now search this extensive database of questions related to the five themes, which have been fielded over the last few decades.
The Infra4NextGen team reviewed each wave of each survey, dating back to the first wave in the early 1980s in the case of the EVS and ISSP.
Reviewing questionnaire content from major international surveys constituted the initial stage in choosing themes for analysis in a series of Data Summaries, currently being produced by academic experts and research fellows working on each of the five themes.
These documents will present an overview of the public opinion data on Green, Digital, Healthy, Strong, and Equal topics.
The Inventory is searchable by keyword, NextGenerationEU theme(s), survey(s); and year(s) the question was fielded to help users be able to locate the data.
Each survey item listed includes the question wording and full response scale, as well as information about the survey, year it was fielded, wave number and the identification number of the item.
Functionalities for the Inventory are regularly under review and new items fielded – such as those included on our CROss-National Online Survey 3 (CRONOS-3) Panel – will be added over the duration of the project.
The inventory has been compiled by Infra4NextGen partners based at City, St George’s, University of London, the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) and University of Milan.
