The Make it Healthy theme, grounded in the Social Determinants of Health (SDH) approach, explores the various factors influencing both physical and mental health outcomes, especially as they contribute to health disparities among different social groups.
By integrating research, policy, and practical interventions, the theme aims to shed light on the most significant factors affecting the health and well-being of younger generations across Europe, improving health outcomes and reducing the social inequalities that exacerbate these disparities.
This theme encompasses a broad spectrum of determinants that shape individual and community health, with a specific focus on younger generations in Europe.
Key areas of focus include work-life balance, living conditions, healthcare access and medication use, availability and affordability of unhealthy products, life stressors and lifestyle choices.
Academic experts are involved in the process for selecting questions to be fielded on the CROss-National Online Survey 3 (CRONOS-3) Panel. They are also developing policy-relevant analysis of existing data on the topic that is being compiled for the inventory of survey items and harmonisation tasks.
